Looe

Coach holidays to Looe offer a stress-free way to discover one of Cornwall's prettiest fishing towns, with its twin harbours, sandy beaches and fresh seafood all just a comfortable coach ride away.

Tucked into Cornwall's rugged southeast coast, Looe is one of those places that stays with you long after you leave. This historic fishing town splits neatly in two — East Looe and West Looe — divided by a wide river estuary and stitched back together by a handsome Victorian bridge. The working harbour still hums with the day's catch. Sandy beaches curve beneath colourful cottages, while narrow, winding streets brim with independent shops, cosy pubs and restaurants serving seafood straight off the boats. Wander out along Banjo Pier, hop on a boat to the nature reserve of Looe Island, or simply watch the trawlers come and go. It's quintessential Cornwall, wrapped up in one charming seaside package.

Getting there couldn't be easier. Coach holidays to Looe take the stress out of the journey — no long drives down winding Cornish lanes, no hunting for parking, just comfortable, scenic travel with every detail handled for you. Sit back and enjoy the ride while someone else does the navigating. Once you arrive, there's time to explore the harbour, tuck into freshly caught crab and mackerel, stroll a stretch of the South West Coast Path or take a day trip to nearby Polperro. Many coach tours to Looe pair the town with wider Cornish highlights, so you can see more of the county in one relaxed break. Bodmin Moor and Jail, Jamaica Inn and Port Isaac

A stop at the imposing Bodmin Jail is next, where we’ll learn about life in the Georgian and Victorian penal system.

From here, we’ll continue to the Jamaica Inn, which is Cornwall's most famous smugglers haunt and the inspiration for Daphne du Maurier's best-selling novel.

Our final visit of the day is to pretty Port Isaac. Once a hang-out for the notorious Cornish pirate, it is now a fishing village with olde-world charm, and some may also recognise it from the well-known TV series Doc Martin, which is filmed here.
