Seahouses
Seahouses is a charming Northumberland fishing village and the gateway to the Farne Islands, famous for its harbour, grey seals, seabirds and locally smoked kippers.
Perched on the stunning Northumberland coast, Seahouses is a warm, welcoming fishing village that's perfect for a relaxing coach holiday. It sits within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, just a short hop north of Alnwick. Wander the working harbour, breathe in the fresh sea air, and tuck into a locally smoked kipper — a tasty treat first made here back in the 1800s.
There's plenty to see and do around Seahouses. It's your gateway to the wonderful Farne Islands, where boat trips bring you close to playful grey seals, thousands of seabirds, and the famous Grace Darling story. Nearby, you'll find the mighty Bamburgh Castle and the peaceful Holy Island of Lindisfarne, both well worth a visit. Add in sandy beach walks, a friendly local festival, and fresh fish and chips by the sea, and you'll soon see why coach travellers keep coming back to Seahouses.
