Privacy notice
The short version: we don’t ask for your personal details, and we don’t sell data.
Who we are
Coach Potato (coachpotato.co.uk) is run by [TODO: trading or legal name], the data controller for this website. You can contact us about privacy at [TODO: contact email].
Analytics
We use a self-hosted, privacy-focused analytics tool (Umami) to count page views and clicks, such as which tours people go on to view at an operator’s website. It records things like the page visited, the referring site, your browser and your country. It doesn’t use advertising cookies, and we can’t use it to identify you.
Feedback
If you use the Give Feedback button, we receive what you type and, if you choose to give it, your email address so we can reply. The form is provided by Admirably. We only use it to respond to you and improve the site.
Services that load content
To show the site, your browser fetches content from a few other services, which receive your IP address as part of the request:
- Cloudinary: photos
- OpenFreeMap: map tiles
- Google Fonts and Cloudflare: fonts and site delivery
Links to tour operators
When you follow a link to an operator or hotel, the link tells their website that you came from Coach Potato (using standard “UTM” tags). Once you’re on their site, their own privacy policy applies, including for any booking you make.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, such as feedback you’ve sent. Contact us at the address above. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
