Inveraray Castle is the ancestral home of the Dukes of Argyll, situated beside Loch Fyne in Argyll. This Gothic Revival landmark features opulent state rooms, Beauvais tapestries, and an Armoury Hall filled with weaponry. Sitting beside Loch Fyne in Argyll, Inveraray Castle looks like something out of a fairytale with its pale grey-green stone and pointed turrets. It serves as the ancestral home of the Dukes of Argyll, chiefs of Clan Campbell, and is still lived in by the family today. Started in 1746 to replace an old tower house, the castle is a pioneering example of Gothic Revival architecture, designed by Roger Morris with contributions from the Adam family over several decades.

Inside, the state rooms are opulent, featuring a towering Armoury Hall lined with pikes, muskets, and swords, alongside exquisite Beauvais tapestries. The grand apartments are filled with family portraits, fine porcelain, and intricate plasterwork.
