Riverside Museum

Located on the Clyde in Glasgow, the Riverside Museum is an award-winning transport hub housed in a striking zinc building. Visitors can explore over three thousand exhibits, including classic cars, trams and trains, alongside recreated vintage streets. Outside, guests can climb aboard the Tall Ship Glenlee. Entry to the museum is free.

Located where the River Kelvin joins the Clyde on the site of Glasgow's old shipyards, the Riverside Museum is an award-winning hub for transport and travel. It's housed in a striking zinc building designed by the late Zaha Hadid, featuring a wave-like roof that nods to the river and the city's history of shipbuilding. Since opening in 2011, it was named European Museum of the Year in 2013 and is now one of the most popular spots to visit in Scotland.

Inside, over three thousand exhibits track the history of global travel, featuring everything from classic cars and local trams to trains, bikes and model ships. Recreated cobbled streets and vintage shopfronts bring old Glasgow back to life. Right outside on the Clyde sits the Tall Ship Glenlee, a three-masted barque from 1896 that guests can climb aboard to explore. Entry is free.
