Portpatrick
Portpatrick is a pretty harbour village on the rugged Rhins of Galloway in south-west Scotland. Colourful houses ring a sheltered bay, cliff paths lead to lighthouses and sea views, and the harbour buzzes with fishing boats and seafood. As the start of the Southern Upland Way and close to gardens warmed by the Gulf Stream, Portpatrick offers a charming, laid-back base for a coastal coach break.
