Lindisfarne Castle

Lindisfarne

Few coach holidays capture the magic of the Northumberland coast quite like a journey to Lindisfarne, the Holy Island. Because the island sits across a tidal causeway, you can only cross at certain safe times each day. That's where it really pays to let an experienced driver handle the timings for you. As you roll across the sands, keep an eye out for grazing seals and the dramatic outline of Lindisfarne Castle on its rocky crag.

Once you arrive, there's plenty to enjoy at your own gentle pace. You can wander the romantic ruins of Lindisfarne Priory, where St Aidan and St Cuthbert shaped early English Christianity, then sample the island's famous mead. Our coach trips also take the stress out of parking, route planning and long drives behind the wheel. Whether you're a keen historian or simply chasing fresh sea air, these Lindisfarne trips are an easy, friendly way to explore one of England's most peaceful corners.
