Perched in the hills of Highland Perthshire at the edge of the Cairngorms National Park, Blair Castle is hard to miss with its bright white walls and striking turrets. For over 750 years, it has served as the home of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl, chiefs of Clan Murray, and is believed to be one of Scotland's oldest continuously inhabited castles, dating back to the 1200s. Its iconic white look is mostly the result of Victorian renovations.

The castle is well-known as the base for the Atholl Highlanders, Europe's only legal private army, who were granted the right to carry arms by Queen Victoria following her visit in 1844. Guests can explore around thirty rooms filled with armor, tapestries, portraits, and Jacobite artifacts that bring Scottish history to life.
